The first opening is a direct hire Med Tech, with comprehensive benefit package! This great opportunity is full time.

Work schedule: combination of 8 hour shifts and 12 hour shifts. 8 days on with 6days off. Weds 3-11p 8 Thurs 11p-7a. 8 Hour shifts Fri, Sat, & Sun. Mon 7p-7a. Tues 11p-7a, W 3P-11P. Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon, Tues - off

The second night shift opening is a contract Med Tech Traveler!

The Med Tech must be able to perform Phlebotomy responsibilities.

Preferred: One year experience performing the duties of a Clinical Laboratory Technologist

Ability to interpret results and clinical significance of test findings. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner. Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling. Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills. Computer literacy Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Office products and electronic medical record

Population Specific Requirements: The staff member must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed by pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient group.

Exposure Control: Occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens is reasonably anticipated. Required tasks involve a potential contact with blood, body fluids, tissues.

Responsibility: Under the supervision of the Laboratory Director-Supervisor, performs a variety of complicated technical assignments with minimal supervision. Tasks and objectives assigned are broadly outlined, frequently requiring unique or special abilities and-or training. Plans own approaches and progressive stages of work to accomplish desired results. With required education and experience, supervises the activities of other Technical staff and laboratory processes.

Essential Job Functions: Triage Responsible for the initial management of specimens of all age groups and assigning priorities of care in accordance with triage standards.

Policy-Procedure: Proficiency Demonstrates proficiency and all testing procedures-policies according to Standard Operating Procedure Manual (SOPM).

Resolutions Demonstrates the ability to identify and evaluate appropriate action to resolve problems (including contacts with service hot lines and representatives). Performs and evaluates QA-QC.

Roche Cobas 501 - Chemistry

Roche U411 Urinalysis

Sysmex XN1000 Hematology

ACL Top 300 Coag

Cepheid GenExpress PRC Flu, RSV, Strep

Abbott i-Stat Troponin and Blood Gas

Medtox Drug Screen

Phlebotomy required we will train if necessary

Blood bank is only release of units already screened and cross-matched and release of emergency release O Neg

No micro other than PCR and standard Immunology kits.
