Job Description:

We are working with a national food manufacturer that is looking for a Project Engineering Manager to plan, direct, and coordinate activities of projects, ensuring the objectives of the projects are accomplished within the prescribed time frame.Location: Syracuse, NY areaJob Responsibilities:Review project proposals or plans to determine the time frame, funding limitations, and procedures for accomplishing the project.Evaluates staffing requirements and allotment of available resources to various phases of projects.Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure projects progress on schedule and within the prescribed budget.Prepares project reports for management, clients, or others.Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.Coordinates project activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies.Occasional travel to other area facilities.Required Skills/Qualifications: Degree in Mechanical, industrial, or Electrical Engineering (Bachelor s degree preferred)10+ years experience in manufacturing (food, beverage, or pharma preferred)7+ years of experience in project managementExperience handling CapEx projectsFamiliar with the following trades: Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Utilities, and ConstructionAble to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected eventsAnalytical and Problem Solving: Works well in group problem-solving situationsCommunication: Exceptional interpersonal skillsChange Management: Develop workable implementation plansAbility to travel up to 50%
