The Senior Operations Manager will oversee and direct fabrications, general machining, plating, and final assembly operations teams to meet production and cost targets according to company needs and customer requirements.

Your role as a Sr. Manufacturing Manager positions you to be directly involved in the physical production that enables Baxter to fulfill our mission to save and sustain lives. You manage the line between meeting production timelines and making quality products. As a manager, you are the trusted critical connection between the business and the workers on the floor.

What you'll be doing

• Manage and train supervisors and managers in the manufacturing operations team.
• Establish goals and objectives team to meet site and business targets for key performance metrics.
• Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
• Direct the manufacturing teams to execute production plans to meet service level goals and objectives while meeting cost targets.
• Develop standard work for the supervisory team.
• Maintain required reporting per site and business requirements/schedules.
• Create and manage expense and capital budgets for manufacturing operations.
• Identify and/or support execution of cost reduction projects around labor and material efficiency in support of the Continuous Improvement team and site targets.
• Collaborate with Quality and the Materials teams to resolve manufacturing quality issues and to support as needed supplier component and material quality issues to eliminate or reduce impact to manufacturing operations and customer fulfillment.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Develop the capabilities of reports and their teams by establishing annual performance objectives.
• Monitor employee and team performance vs. established goals.
• Establish and implement talent development and succession plans.
• Recognize team member contributions and achievements. What you'll bring
  • Bachelor's degree is required; field of study in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or similar is ideal.
  • 7+years of experience in manufacturing operations management or related field.
  • Experience in an operations management role within a regulated industry; medical devices, automotive, or aerospace preferred.
  • Experience using SAP or equivalent ERP system. We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $112,000 to $216,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses and/or long-term incentive.
