Job Description:

At Jimmy John's we are a restaurant that makes fast, fresh sandwiches. We prep our produce fresh daily along with slicing all meats and cheese daily as well. We make our food to order for both in shop customers and delivery.Right now this location is owner operated. We are looking to bring on a GM to take over the running of the store in order to free up owner to focus more on marketing and back of house responsibilities. This will not be a situation of you being thrown into the deep end day one. The owner will be on site during the transition process to work side by side with you and after for any further guidance.The GM is expected to lead by example, more of a side by side style of management rather than a from the sidelines kind of style. Once you are set up as GM, you set your own schedule. You will be expected to run five shifts a week and be in the store 35 to 40 hours a week. You will be on call when you are not in the store but the on call schedule can be split between you, other managers and the owner.You should have leadership skills, a strong work ethic and good communication skills. You should have some experience managing labor and controlling food costs. You should have some experience with hiring, training and disciplining employees. Ideally you will have at least two years management experience, preferably as the GM or the assistant GM.Salary is negotiable based on experience. There will also be a monthly bonus based on profitability, labor and food costs.Required qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in the United StatesPreferred qualifications:
    • 21+ years or older
    • 2+ years of experience in the hospitality industry
    • Management skills: supervising employees
    • Management skills: hiring and onboarding
    • Management skills: conducting performance reviews
    • Management skills: termination of employment
    • Management skills: writing schedules
    • Management skills: resolving customer complaints
    • Management skills: managing employee conflicts
    • Able to stand for duration of shift
    • Comfortable handling customer complaints
