At PaperWorks, we are in pursuit of being recognized as a Great
Place to Work -. To get there, we need an experienced and talented
Quality Manager to join the team in our Baldwinsville, NY folding
carton plant. In this role, you be focused on strategic, tactical
and operational quality; promoting and maintaining quality
achievement and performance improvement throughout the
organization; and liaison with customers and vendors. The Quality
Manager is accountable for internal and external quality complaint
resolution, execution of audits, and ensuring efficient and smooth
operations within the production facility.
How you will impact PaperWorks:
Track, analyze, and lead initiatives for all internal quality and
customer complaint issues. Provide daily quality data and feedback
to facility and site leadership.
Manage a team of quality technicians, ensuring that processes are
efficient, and work is appropriately prioritized. Provide tools and
training for quality management and quality improvement to the
Determine, document, and approve site-specific or one-time
occurrences such as protocols (reworks, validations, etc.),
deviations (planned or unplanned), waivers, or releases for
materials and products as required.
Leverage enterprise technology to analyze quality complaints, track
corrective and preventive actions, and use data to isolate and
track defective parts per million, over shipments, and resolve
issues related to rejected products when applicable.
Monitor and ensure compliance with current policies, procedures,
regulatory requirements, and customer requirements. Coordinate and
execute internal, customer, supplier, subcontractor, and regulatory
Promote a total quality philosophy at all levels developing a
culture of right first time and continuous improvement.
Participate, facilitate, and/or lead continuous improvement teams
in both the production and support areas of the plant.
What you will need to succeed:
Bachelor's degree with 5+ years related professional experience.
Prior experience in a manufacturing facility is highly
Meaningful experience with GFSI, SQF, or other related audit
Prior experience utilizing Quality Engineering methods and Lean
Demonstrated ability in taking ownership and initiative of
responsibilities and executing them to meet business needs and
