Engineering position will support our new cutting edge Solid Rocket
Motor manufacturing facility in the fabrication of composite tubes
and the resulting mechanical assembly. This role will be required
to translate design requirements in the form of manufacturing
drawings, CAD data, and industry specifications into comprehensive
manufacturing instructions for for use by manufacturing personnel.
You will be involved in the startup of a new production line and
will provide daily hands on support and troubleshooting to
manufacturing in the assembly of large high-volume composite tubes.
You must have the ability to read and analyze complex technical
drawings and CAD models and then create written and graphical
instructions from this information. This role will interface with
other engineering disciplines, program management, and
manufacturing to accomplish our production goals. You will
participate in area layout, procedure development, work instruction
development, KPI tracking, and work closely with the
program/project management team to meet cost and schedule targets.
To be successful in this role you should be a highly motivated
individual with a desire to learn our manufacturing processes and
solution day to day challenges within our manufacturing operations.
The ideal candidate will be able to aide in composite tube winding,
metal bonding to composites, and rubber molding manufacturing
methods. They must be motivated to be involved in a manufacturing
environment on a daily basis and be an active participant in
manufacturing process development, job tooling, and work

Qualifications • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a
related engineering discipline (Manufacturing, Mechanical,
Electrical, etc.), or equivalent experience/combined education,
with 2 years of professional experience; with a related Masters
degree. • 2 years of experience in an engineering role,
(Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, etc.) with a manufacturing
operations focus. • Experience using 3D CAD software (CREO
preferred but not required). Light design work is expected. •
Ability to write technical instructions using blueprints, CAD
models, and Mil-Spec information. • Hands on project or work
experience is required. Desired skills • Prior work experience
related composite winding manufacturing methods • Familiarity with
a Manufacturing Execution System such as SAP, Apriso, or similar
system • Composite pressure vessel manufacturing experience • High
volume manufacturing optimization • Either experience with Prepreg
or Wet Wind manufacturing knowledge • Adhesive bonding of metallic

Ability to work remotely Onsite Full-time: The work associated with
this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed
Martin facility. Work Schedule Information Lockheed Martin supports
a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional
flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40
hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time
away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off
benefits. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position
in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major
metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland,
Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is
$70,100 - $123,625. For states not referenced above, the salary
range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work
location. Please note that the salary information is a general
guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not
limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's
work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market
and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits

and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented
full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid

time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up
to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for
holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated
based on start date during the calendar year. This position is
incentive plan eligible. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for
this position in most major metropolitan areas in California,
Massachusetts, and New York is $80,600 - $139,840. For states not
referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect
the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary
