Job Description:
Constellation, a leading energy company, is seeking a Sr Dry
Cask Storage Specialist to join our Engineering & Maintenance team.
This role is critical in ensuring the safe and efficient storage of
used nuclear fuel in dry cask systems. The ideal candidate will
have extensive experience in nuclear storage engineering, be adept
at overseeing fuel handling projects, and ensure compliance with
all regulatory guidelines. Oversee the loading, storage, and
maintenance of dry cask storage systems for spent nuclear fuel.
Develop, implement, and monitor safety protocols to maintain
regulatory compliance and ensure public safety. Conduct routine
inspections and maintenance of storage casks to prevent leaks and
structural failures. Collaborate with engineering teams to design
and test new storage technologies and methods. Prepare technical
reports, documentation, and compliance records for internal and
external stakeholders. Train and supervise junior engineers and
technicians in proper storage techniques and safety protocols.
In-depth knowledge of nuclear energy production and spent fuel
management. Strong understanding of NRC regulations and safety
standards. Proficient in using CAD software and other engineering
tools. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project
management skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Professional Engineer (PE)
certification preferred. Specialized training or certification in
nuclear material handling and storage.
