our expertise in vacuum technology to provide unique, toxic

Job Description:
Work in a team environment to provide Application Engineering
Support for Leak Detection in all markets.
This position will be based in Syracuse, NY with focus on Central
and Eastern USA Customers.
This is an exciting new position for someone who is interested in
learning our products and applications and developing the skills to
become a world class Applications Engineer for the Market Leading
Tracer Gas Leak Detection Company.
To be successful you must be able to:
Commit to and complete the applications 16-24 week training program
AND/OR demonstrate equivalent technical level.
Commit to learning and understanding leak detection machine design,
including sensitivity, measurement certainty, cycle time, sequence
of events, capital cost, return on investment (ROI), vacuum
physics, atmospheric testing physics, tooling, PLC and Digital
Communication.
Learn the INFICON SAP system and research processes as needed to
support customers and KAMs and contribute to the Customer
Relationship Management system (CRM)
Provide technical and applications support with limited guidance by
supervisor.
Provide INFICON Key Account Managers and management with feedback
on products, accounts, and competitive trends as observed while
carrying out the position standard job functions.
Under minimal supervision and using judgment and discretion
interface with our internal and external customers and make
recommendations concerning Applications. Inside INFICON contribute
to improving our position in the market via product line
revisions.
Act as a role model by responding and assisting all customers in a
positive and supportive manner.
Maintain INFICON's ISO 9001 registration by keeping procedures and
policies up-to-date, recommending improvements as appropriate, and
maintaining an awareness of pertinent procedures in all
departments.
Must be willing to travel approximately 40% of the time.
Perform other duties as assigned.
In addition, you will need the following skills and education:
A Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics,
or equivalent technical area:

Instrument and/or Production Engineering experience is
requested.
Must have computer experience MS Office with strong excel and power
point skills.
