Job Description:

Industrial Engineering Project Lead We are currently in search of a Industrial Engineering Project Lead to join our Industrial Engineering department of the Marquardt Group in our location Cazenovia (USA). The Industrial Engineering Project Lead is responsible for managing the design, timing, and delivery of complex manufacturing processes and equipment required to support new launches or upgrades to existing products (domestic and international locations). The Industrial Engineering Project Lead will function as a key member of multi-disciplinary core teams on new product development, representing all Industrial Engineering aspects. Responsibilities: Plan and manage multiple projects with several technical components for the production of new and existing products within budget and on time
Manage and track industrial engineering team deliverables to ensure successful launch of new equipment and products into manufacturing environments (inclusive of equipment, work instructions, routings, etc.)
Work with international Marquardt locations to support manufacturing launches
Develop, document, and maintain accountability for assembly line concept, cycle time, and labor requirements for new and existing products
Research and develop solutions to complex technical problems and recommend cost effective resolution approaches
Design and develop new methods and processes to improve productivity by improving integration of people, materials, and equipment
Develop cost estimates for implementation of new and revised methods and processes
Develop capital budget requests and monitor budgets for capital expenditures
Coordinate the manufacturing launch of new and enhanced products through developing goals and timetables which include elements in: development of testing activity for the evaluation of tools and equipment, training manufacturing personnel, and evaluation of results
Serve as primary technical resource for assigned manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling. Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
5+ years of experience within an Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering role preferred
3+ years of experience managing projects and leading teams preferred
Project management / Decision making skillsets: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including detail planning and organization, problem solving (technical and non-technical), team engagement and motivation, and delegating to non-direct reporting team
Flexible and adaptive behavior: open minded and ability to quickly adapt to change
Understanding of manufacturing methods and processes, including flow, layout, and assembly, and production equipment. Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and manufacturing quality tools
Knowledge of plastics design, molding processes
Understanding of inspection measurement methods
Knowledge of and experience using Motion-Time Methods (MTM)
Advanced computer skills including the use of CAD software
Experience using SAP and PLM or similar software, as well as standard office tools such as MS Office suite
Excellent verbal/written communication skills, including group presentation, complex technical reports, negotiation, and influencing Travel: Ability to travel both domestically and internationally, mostly local, as needed approximately up to 20-25% Core Values We Admire: Integrity You believe in honest and transparent communication internally and externally
