Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer experienced in providing security and accreditation support for SecureView/Multi-Level Solutions (MLS). Our SecureView (SV) team is responsible for government testing and successfully fielding software and systems that provide secure access to cross-domain virtualized desktop machines. The successful candidate will lead the team in supporting the SV Program Management Office (PMO) in the accreditation of cross-domain capabilities through effective management and dissemination of system level requirements.

The A&A Engineer will also be responsible for the following duties:

• Support all activities related to preparing for and accomplishing SecureView Lab Based and Site Based Security Control Assessments.
• Provide input and guidance of security designs in hardware, software, data, and procedures to accomplish network security; verifies security requirements; performs system certification and accreditation planning, testing, and liaison activities
• Document and monitor information assurance programs and computer network systems for compliance of continuity, operations security, forensics, regulatory compliance, insider threat detection and mitigation, physical security analysis (including facilities analysis, and security management)
• Assess and mitigate system security threats and risks throughout the program life cycle
• Validate system security requirements definition and analysis
• Maintaining awareness of the latest technologies applicable to cross domain operations
• Evaluate potential impacts of new security policies on existing and upcoming software baselines
• Conducting evaluations to assess relevant emerging new technologies for cross-domain application
• Perform assessments of systems and networks within the networking environment or enclave and identify where those systems and networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy
• Provide A&A engineering expertise at program reviews and technical interchange meetings
• Other duties as assigned
  Candidates filling these positions will be key members supporting the mission of leading the discovery, development, and integration of affordable warfighting technologies for air, space and cyber forces.
  
  Teams will be located in:
  • Rome, NY (Air Force Research Laboratory)
    
    Required Education, Experience, & Skills
    
    • BS in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
    • 5 years relevant experience
    • Basic knowledge of Risk Management Framework to include certification and accreditation, and government acceptance testing
    • Understanding of modern scalable software architectures and methods
    • Knowledge of DOD/IC Information System security policies such as ICD 503, NIST 800-53 and NIST 800-37
    • Experience with Federal Information Assurance/Cybersecurity Certification and Accreditation policy/procedures
    • Ability to effectively interface with all levels of management and technical personnel
    • Good communication and customer-relations skills
    • DoD 8570 compliant with a minimum of CompTIA Security + certification
    • Active TS SCI clearance
      
      Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
      
      • Operational Air Force experience desired
      • Ability to break down technical concepts into business terms
      • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with focus on root cause identification
      • Experience with Agile Scrum/SAFe practices
