Job Description:

Purchasing / Materials Control Leader (PMCL): The PMCL reports directly to the executive vice president. The PMCL works with multiple departments for generating quote information (lead times and deliveries) for quotes and orders, and for all other activities where purchasing and material control is required. The PMCL also works with the CFO to ensure all controls are maintained in the procurement, receiving and material control processes. This position is responsible for the oversight and carrying out of purchasing and material control logistical for the company. PMCL duties interfaces with all departments within the organization including process engineering/order processing, building maintenance, and others. The primary objective is to ensure all materials and services needed for production, building maintenance, and other departments and needs are procured in accordance with corporate needs. The PMCL responsibilities include:Purchasing all products, parts, and supplies, services such as manufacturing and othersControlling, reporting and maintaining stock and parts levels to necessary quantities.Developing and maintain vendor relationshipsSelecting vendors to use from approved vendor listInvestigate and report buying alternativesNegotiate alternatives that effect cost, quality, otherMaintain relevant documentation within company purchasing and material control systems (iso9001:2015Develop and maintain purchasing policies.Investigate material shortages, including root causesRequest, review and evaluate vendor quotes to provide the company with strategic savings, required lead times, consistent or improved quality.Monitoring, maintenance and track current inventory usage. Ensuring proper management and lead time is given to ensure no disruption of key processes (primarily production)Establish reorder levels with accounting and executive vice presidentOversight of the stockroom/warehousing function.Responsible for processing incoming receipts, as well as the pick, pack and ship function in the MFC system.Responsible for inventory accuracy in the MFC system, as well as physical counts as needed, in coordination with accounting CFO and executive vice president.Manage flow of materials and services into and out of the facility. The PMCL must have demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships, internal and external. In addition, the PMCL must possess and display an outgoing, positive, and proactive attitude. Additional Duties:Update and control delivery status for all purchase ordersDevelop profitable purchasing strategiesMaximize profit marginsNegotiate payment termsProactively follow-up with vendorsResolving issues, internal and vendor relatedAttend and report during internal meetingsEnsure vendors understand MFC delivery standardsRate & report on vendor performancePartner with all internal departments to ensure buyer satisfaction is suppliedAnalyze historical data, orders, and quotes on a regular basisAssist with the movement and dispersal of partsKnow and report on "Stock on Hand" countsVerify receivables match PO and packing listsOther duties as required Qualifications and Skills:5 Years experience requiredIndustry Knowledge highly desirableNegotiation & Communication skills desirableERP/CRM experience or similar computer requiredE2Shop (Shoptech) software experience is highly desirableFork lift certification a plusU. S. Citizenship is required
