Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking a full-time Quality
Assurance RN Nurse to join our clinical team at our long-term care
facility in Syracuse, NY. /n Job Summary: The Quality Assurance RN
plays a key role in maintaining and improving the quality of care
provided to our residents. This position is responsible for
implementing and monitoring the facility’s Quality Assurance and
Performance Improvement (QAPI) program, ensuring compliance with
NYS Department of Health, CMS regulations, and industry best
practices. Reporting directly to the Director of Nursing, the QA RN
collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to promote clinical
excellence and a culture of continuous improvement. /nKey
Responsibilities:/n /n - /n Monitor nursing practices and provide
feedback, coaching, and support to nursing staff to ensure
adherence to quality standards. /n /n - /n Participate in audits
and analyze data from CASPER reports, PointRight, survey outcomes,
and internal assessments to identify trends and opportunities for
improvement. /n /n - /n Prepare QAPI reports, contribute to monthly
QA meeting minutes, and follow up on action plans. /n /n - /n
Support the Director of Nursing in coordinating and evaluating
staff development and education programs. /n /n - /n Assist in the
development and implementation of policies and procedures that
promote compliance and high-quality care. /n /n - /n Maintain
accurate records for quality metrics, infection control, and wound
care programs. /n /n - /n Serve as a resource for clinical staff,
providing guidance on best practices and regulatory requirements.
/n /n - /n Participate in state surveys and follow-up processes as
needed. /n /n - /n Foster effective communication and collaboration
among all departments to improve patient outcomes. /n /n
/nRequirements:/n /n - /n Graduate of an accredited RN program. /n
/n - /n Current RN license in New York State. /n /n - /n Bachelor's
degree in Nursing or related field preferred; Master’s degree a
plus. /n /n - /n CPR certification required. /n /n - /n Experience
in long-term care, quality improvement, or nursing leadership
strongly preferred. /n /n - /n Knowledge of infection control,
wound care, emergency preparedness, and nursing compliance
regulations. /n /n - /n Strong analytical, problem-solving, and
communication skills. /n /n - /n Must demonstrate professionalism,
discretion, and high ethical standards. /n /n /nPhysical
Requirements:/n /n - /n Ability to move intermittently throughout
the workday (sit, stand, bend, lift). /n /n - /n Must be
emotionally stable and able to handle stress effectively. /n /n -
/n Ability to lift supplies/equipment and tolerate exposure to
common workplace substances, odors, or infectious materials. /n /n
