Director of Finance - FLACRA Onsite in Newark, NY Job Summary: As the Director of Finance, you will oversee daily operations and strategic objectives for FLACRA’s accounting functions. You will lead a team of accountants, accounts payable staff, and an administrative assistant, ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, cost reports, and budgets. A key aspect of this role is managing grant billing and reporting, as well as working directly with external auditors to maintain financial compliance. Required Qualifications: License: Valid NYS Drivers License. Education: BA/BS in Finance or Accounting is required; MBA or CPA preferred. Experience: Proven supervisory experience in an accounting setting is required. Previous experience working for a not-for-profit agency is required. Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel. Analytical Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with staff, service providers, and external stakeholders at all levels. Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and individuals. Leadership: Demonstrated leadership in high-pressure environments with a track record of team success.
