Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting in the preparation, analysis, and maintenance of financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles.Responsibilities:Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, reports, and budgets.Perform general ledger entries and reconciliations to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.Support month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts.Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.Conduct regular audits of financial data to identify and resolve discrepancies.Assist in the preparation of tax filings and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.Participate in financial forecasting and budgeting activities.Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements to streamline financial operations.Stay updated on accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and recommend improvements.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation is a plus.In Lieu of degree, 7 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with a strong focus on general ledger and financial reporting.Proficient in using accounting software and MS Excel (advanced Excel skills preferred).Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Excellent problem-solving abilities and ability to work under deadlines.Effective written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Strong organizational and time management skills.
