Hybrid role! As long as you can make it into this organizations Rochester or Albany office (whatever one is closest to where you live) 2 days a week, you can work from home 3 days a week. Some weeks you'll work remote 4 days a week.
Chris Preble from Robert Half is working with one of the fastest growing organizations in NYS. This is a newly created Fixed Asset Senior Accountant position and there will be substantial growth here for you. This manufacturing industry company has outstanding benefits, 401k match, bonus, etc. The vibe here is very casual...not at all a suit/tie kind of place or culture. What You'll Be Involved In...
In this role you will be involved in monitoring, reporting, and forecasting of capital expenditures, support funding requests and project close-outs, and perform various other activities supporting fixed asset accounting.
--- Monitor capital expenditures against established budgets
--- Prepare weekly project status updates and monthly project expenditure reports
--- Develop periodic project financial forecasts
--- Resolve additional funding/substitution needs as required
--- Prepare project closeout documentation
--- Perform compliance duties such as the set-up and maintenance of internal controls and SOX compliance
--- Develop and maintain constructive and coordinated working relationships with other finance departments and corporate departments
--- Collaborate with manager to establish specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish project/department goals
Requirements
Prior or current experience in public accounting is an asset
Fixed asset accounting experience is required.
