Job Description:

$1,000 SIGN-ON BONUS **SUMMARYResponsible for the overall AP function and providing leadership to the AP team. This includes designing and implementing process improvements and optimizing department efficiency through monitoring and developing of employees. Additionally, this role will be responsible for sales tax accounting and reconciliation of accounts related to accounts payable and special projects as assigned.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSProvide day to day direction to the AP team, including managing high volume workflow.Measure department performance with appropriate metrics.Provide for ongoing training of the AP staff.Manage relationships with collection agencies, credit reporting agencies and sales departments.Assure department staff is trained for all required job duties and any modifications to the job description are updated accordingly.Recommend and implement department efficiencies through the system or through workflow improvements.Assist others in accounting with procedural questions, interpretation, decision making and related matters preceding payment.Create environment where the team excels in the company's five core competencies.Backup for reviewing daily vendor (supplier/expense) invoices received, audit for completeness, accuracy, and sales tax implications.Review Credit Card Statements prior to payment.Assist with completing the 1099's annually.Review the invoice aging to be sure these are in line with the goals that are set.Primary for reviewing and approving equal2new payments within established limitsBackup for EIS-AP process.Primary administrator of the Concur expense system.Assist in managing and reconciling the accrual inventory reports for all companies monthly.Assist with coordinating and testing any system/process changes.Be sure any applicable expenses, invoices are provided to GL group each month for accruals.Assume additional responsibilities as required.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field.
