Community Bank System, Inc. is looking for a Collections Recovery Agent in Canton, NY. Collections Recovery Agent Job Overview: This position is responsible for preparing files for Charge Off, maintaining records of recovery payments and accounts, balancing daily and month end reports. Responsibilities: * Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to pertinent policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all job-specific training requirements in a timely fashion. * Prepare files for Charge Off. * Maintain spreadsheet of Recovery payments and Charge Off accounts. * Balance daily Recovery GL Accounts and Charge Off/Recovery reports to GL at month end. * Process recovery money to Charge Off accounts. * Apply for warranty/Gap rebates on Charge Off accounts. * Other duties as assigned and assists with special projects. Qualifications: * Two (2) years of collection/banking or equivalent experience preferred. * High School diploma or equivalent required. * Associates Degree in Business or Finance preferred. * Detail oriented, ability to multi-task, organization skills, strong typing and computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Word and Excel. * Excellent customer service and communication skills. Moderate writing skills. Hours: 40 hours/week Location: Canton, NY Compensation: Level to be determined by experience.
